A warm welcome to our much-loved 17th Century village pub in Woodditton, situated in the picturesque heart of horse racing country near Newmarket.

Following a devastating fire in 2018, we worked tirelessly to bring this fantastic building back to life ensuring we retained its charm whilst adding a few modern twists and bursts of colour. And, we were able to add 9 new bedrooms in The Barn – so you can stay even longer!

The result (we hope!) is, a cosy, relaxed setting to kick off your boots, wellies or otherwise - enjoying time with friends and family. We are foodies at heart – so expect to find pub classics as well as a regularly changing menu that focuses on our local access to amazing meats, award winning cheeses and the best Fenland veg.

Expect to find a regularly changing menu that celebrates our access to artisan local suppliers, complemented by pub classics. Award winning cheeses, Fenland vegetables and home-grown meats are on our doorstep – helping our Chefs stay true to our region.

Vegan dishes and gluten free options will sit alongside hearty Sunday roasts and locally farmed sharing steaks all contributing to the great diversity and seasonality of our region, East Anglia.

Welcome to The Barn – our newly built bedrooms for guests who want to linger for even longer!
Our bedrooms are cosy, yet modern, many with views across the paddocks. They include family and dog-friendly rooms and some with a few extra treats, all with contemporary bathrooms and touches of character.
So why leave so soon?

Wagging tails will always be welcome through our door. So much so, that we have created an overnight stay package, Muddy Paws, and a special dog menu, with your four-legged companion in mind.
Our team members are always on hand with doggy treats and tips for the best dog walks in our area, including our own Studland Stomp walking route.

To read more about our dog-friendly stays and things to do in and around our area and beyond take a look at our dedicated dog website, Chestmutts.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to our neck of the woods soon. If you need to get in touch with us you can use our contact form or give us a call using the telephone number at the top of this page
